Kathmandu, Aug 22 : The bank of Bagmati River near the Tribhuvan University Gate in Kirtipur has been cleaned-up today under the 119th series of the Bagmati Clean-up Campaign.
On the occasion, a large number of Nepalese Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police personnel, students and representatives of different organisation were present. Likewise, the campaign passed a condolence resolution and expressed grief on the demise of Swami Prapannacharya.
On the occasion, Chief Secretary Somlal Subedi expected support from all sectors to make the river clean. Likewise, campaigner Dr Raju Adhikari stressed that punishment should be given to those making the river dirty, adding that the campaign has given a message to the locals that garbage should not be thrown in river.
